1. Research Paper Integration

I was able to drop in three complex PDFs and immediately access the critical information I needed without reading 90+ pages of text.

Want to understand a paper quickly? Simply ask Aithor for a summary, and you'll get a clear breakdown of key findings, methodology, and conclusions.

When I needed specific details, I asked questions like "What data collection methods were used?" and Aithor delivered precise answers with direct references to page 43 of my uploaded PDF.

While the processing time is slightly longer than other tools I've tested, the depth and accuracy of Aithor's responses make the extra seconds well worth the wait.

2. Outline Builder

Outline generator is impressively straightforward - just tell it your research topic and watch it work.

The level of detail in these outlines blew me away. Aithor created a comprehensive structure with logical main sections and specific subsections that covered everything from historical context to future implications.

All headings are properly formatted as H1 and H2, making it easy to navigate your document from the start. The only limitation I found is that you can't ask Aithor to expand specific sections or add new ones.

3. AI Writing

After building your outline, Aithor automatically writes content for all sections, including citations. This is a massive time-saver, but you'll need to edit the generated text. I found many sections contained unnecessary information and required reformatting into proper paragraphs.

The AI seems to understand each individual section well but doesn't maintain awareness of the entire document context, sometimes creating inconsistencies between different parts of your paper.

There's also an AI autocomplete that kicks in the moment you hit "space" after finishing a sentence.

4. Citation Management

You can easily add citations throughout your document, but I discovered you can't edit them once they're inserted - your only option is to delete and recreate them. This becomes frustrating when you need to make small adjustments to page numbers or publication details.

Also, be careful when selecting your initial citation style - once you've set it for the document, Aithor doesn't allow you to switch to other formats later. I learned this the hard way...

5. Multi Language Support

I tested this by creating a paper with a Spanish title, and the results were completely unpredictable. Sometimes, AI features responded in Spanish, other times in English, with no apparent pattern.

When writing my introduction in Spanish, the autocomplete suggestions randomly switched to English mid-paragraph.

This randomness makes the tool unreliable for non-English academic writing.

6. Export Options

Exports are straightforward, with just two formats available: Word and PDF.

I tested both export options with a complex document containing multiple headings, citations, and tables. All citations were perfectly preserved in both formats, maintaining their proper in-text format and numbering sequence.

Document formatting also stayed intact, including heading hierarchies, paragraph spacing, and text formatting like bold and italics.

The bibliography exports beautifully formatted according to your chosen citation style, with proper indentation and spacing.
